Two Old Women
We just read this book for my ward's book club (in SLC). It's a short little book by Velma Wallis about an Alaskan legend involving two old women who get left by their tribe during a hard winter. It's a quick read, but I highly recommend it. Has anyone else happened upon this book?

Ella Enchanted
Okay, so I finished the first book of Twilight. So good!!!!! I LOVED it! I can't wait to get on the plane so I can have an excuse to start New Moon. (My friend Melinda said I shouldn't start it until then otherwise I won't get any packing done.)
But since I'm done with this book, it got me thinking of other good books. And one book I forgot to add to my favorites list is Ella Enchanted. For those of you who haven't read the book but that have seen the movie, do yourself a favor and read the book. It is a MILLION times better than the movie. It belongs on my top 10 books ever.
Has anyone else read it? What are your thoughts?

twilight, by stephenie meyer
I just started reading this book this weekend. My friend at work first told me about it a few months ago. Now it seems that everyone has read it. Even my younger sisters have already started it. Marcos was very excited for me to read it since it involves a vampire. I told him today that it is a romance and he instantly became disinterested. I'm only on page 142 and already I love it. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a great escape!

Long Distance Book Club Idea
Hi friends,
I was thinking that one thing I will miss about living here in Ogden is the opportunity to talk about books with my friends. I have really enjoyed being a part of the book club in our ward. Therefore, I hope this blog can be a way we can keep in touch and continue our book club discussions. So please post comments and if you want to be an author for this blog (so you can post "posts" and not just comments) let me know! I look forward to hearing about all the great books you've read.
